ILDERTON - The Midget/ Bantam girls took on the Kent County
Fillies in llderton this past Sunday where they improved to a 4-1-0 record
after beating the Fillies S-0.
The Jets began quickly with three goals in the first period, but the game tightened up and both teams relied on tough, aggressive defence for the remained of the game. In the end, the Midget/Bantam Girls were able to come out on top, adding two more goals, one in each of the second and third period.
Even though the game was seemingly a knock out on paper, much of the game was due to the success of the defence and the goalies. Kent County had plenty of opportunities but they weren't able to capitalize on the strong defence from the Jets.
