Congratulations Atom Blue - Orillia Tournament Champions
The Atom Blue Jets travelled to Orillia on Family Day weekend to participate in the Orillia Family
Day Festival Hockey Tournament and came home as Tournament Champs.
Before the first game of the tournament, the 13 boys gathered together in the dressing room and told the coaches they came to Orillia to accomplish five things:
1. HAVE FUN
2. COMPETE
3. PLAY WITH SPORTSMANSHIP
4. REPRESENT OURSELVES & OUR COMMUNITY WITH PRIDE and RESPECT
5. WIN
Throughout the tournament, the Jets played with true passion and determination with incredible goaltending, brilliant defensive hockey and some extremely powerful & potent offense.
After 3 extremely hard fought hockey games on the final day of the tournament, the Jets accomplished their mission and proudly raised the ORILLIA CHAMPIONSHIP CUP... scoring the championship winning goal with just 12 seconds remaining in the 3rd period.
The Jet’s want to extend a special thank you to North Bay Atom’s for such a fun & competitive final game and for their great sportsmanship.
