Good morning IDP1 families.
I just wanted to give an update on plans for the next couple of weeks.
First thing I need to do, is ask for volunteers to come on the ice. Ideally, I'd like 12-18 coaches/assistants on the ice with me. If there is anyone interested, please contact me via email ([email protected]). Keep in mind, to come on the ice, you need a Police check, and complete a 1)Respect in Sport and a 2)Gender Awareness on-line module.
Second thing, I am going to divide all the players into 6 teams. I will have this completed before we go the ice next Saturday, October 13th. I will distribute jerseys/socks at this time.
Starting Sunday October 14th, all players should come on the ice wearing their team jerseys. After the ice time on Sunday, team pictures will take place in the Community Center.
As for on ice activities, starting on Saturday, we will have 6 stations on the ice, and players will rotate between the stations. My hope is to have 2-3 on ice assistants at each station. I've yet to determine when we will start playing games....hopefully soon.
If anyone has questions, concerns, or requests to pair up with another player (or two), please let me know ASAP. I will do my best to accommodate.
