We would like to welcome everyone to the Ilderton Jets B/BB program for the 2019-20 season. There is some very important information below about the tryout procedure and season.
My name is Andrew Daley and I am looking forward to a great season being your head coach for the Ilderton Jets Bantam 2019/2020 season.
My philosophy is very simple; continue to improve and develop our skill, expose players to a cohesive and positive team environment and last but not least, it’s important to have fun. To do this our expectations of the players are:

Communication
TRYOUTS
Tryout dates and times are currently posted on the IMHA website. Please make sure you check this team website frequently as information will be regularly updated including further details related to tryout times/groups, players moving forward, and the final team roster.
When you arrive at the arena there will be a sign-in station where you will be handed a jersey.
After the May 10th, 2019 tryout session please refer to the IMHA website for further information/instructions. I will try to have it updated by noon of the following day.
The full tryouts will consist of inter-squad games, evaluation drills and an exhibition game(s). All players from other organizations must have their Permission to Skate form to be eligible to participate in IMHA tryouts
ATTENDANCE
The girls that are playing for Ilderton Jets Bantam team this upcoming year will have many athletic opportunities available to them outside of the IMHA organization. These may include school sports, music and/or club sporting activities. The coaching staff encourages the girls to be very well-rounded when it comes to participating in other sports or activities. Events occurring on the same day, provided it is earlier (as typically happens with school sports) then the practice or game is acceptable. Full attendance is expected for practices, games and tournaments.
TOURNAMENTS
We will strive to participate in at least 4 (four) Tournaments.
PRACTICES
We will have a minimum of 1 hour of practice time per week. September will have additional on-ice sessions that will be above and beyond the typical season practice ice.
START DATE
We will begin the program in mid to late August, with both on and off-ice sessions. We will also be organizing team building activities, at such time(s) as well.
MARCH BREAK
We will do our best to not schedule any play down games during March break.
SOCIAL MEDIA
We will have a very strict policy on the use of social media for our team. The expectation will be that no negative/derogatory postings will ever come from any of our players on personal or hockey related subjects.
PED’s
We will not allow personal electronic devices to be used in the dressing room or during any “team” activities. The focus at these times will be on the individuals present. Our hope is that this approach will help the players get to know each other better and create a cohesive team.
I am very excited for the opportunity to be the head coach of this team and looking forward to a fun season.
